NeighbourTweet can show you a stream of tweets from around your current location.

For this to work, you need to let your browser know where you are. If you're using Firefox 4, you can do so by clicking the crosshair icon next to the address bar. If you're using Safari 5, a dialog window should pop up all by itself.

Please rest assured: no location data whatsoever is transmitted to or collected by this site. However, your location (but no other identifying information) will be transmitted to Twitter to receive tweets from around you. If you have any further concerns or reservations about sharing your location, we recommend you to consult Mozilla's Location Aware Browsing FAQ.
